    As a young adult, I discovered the western US and all 10 Canadian provinces.

  2. Yeah. They should change it to “discovered America and let everyone know it”. Now that’s worth celebrating.

  3. He was an interesting seafarer and explorer. Am saddened that much of my youth was spent honoring what turns out to be another rich imperialist claiming peoples and lands under the guise of a religion.
