  1. In-car Alexa would be great. No more fiddling with buttons when you’re trying to keep your eyes on the road. I know some cars have voice commands now but they aren’t anything like Alexa or OK Google.

“Alexa, turn the Aircon down to 18 degrees”

  2. That’s awsome. Some devs have great ideas of their own. To bad Alexa Api is free and creating a business is tough to do.

As long as the devs receave a share for their inventions it’s great from Amazon.

  3. My work has already been doing this for a while, don’t ask how but they managed to make Alexa talk to the cloud to speak out details about their car insurance info I.e NCD etc

  4. People in the 1990s: SPIES RUSSIANS OMG STAY AWAY THAT WATER IS POISON MY NEIGHBOR IS LISTENING THROUHJ THE PHONE LINE.

People today: I would love to have the perfect spy-device in every room in my house.

  5. Should we ALL be compensated FREE internet service forever or paid for not opting to volunteer or preferences/interests/curiosities/choices yet all our clicks and words are said to be monitored/counted for market research/product development/economy/valuable statistics that could be sold

  6. They will do anything they can right now to make sure Alexa becomes as ubiquitous as possible. They want an amazon microphone in every house and car. Playing the long game.

  7. Am I missing something? Hasn’t this always been available? I thought one of the first things people started doing was creating Alexas with their Raspberry Pis. The only drawback is it will not have all the access available of a regular Alexa device. For example, it cannot access music.
